I live in Scarborough and my workshop is at Ebberston, so I generally cover the towns and villages within Ryedale and Scarborough. It will be beneficial if you can drop off and collect smaller items yourself at an agreed time.

I can collect and deliver your furniture if required but it’s better if you can yourself. I am only working on smaller items such as chairs, cushions and very small sofa’s. Basically what will fit in my large estate car. If you have the ability to bring larger pieces, I may be able to work on them.

I don’t supply fabrics leaving you free to choose the perfect fabric from anywhere, online or locally. Just make sure it’s a good quality upholstery grade fabric that’s fire retardant. The exact amount required will be calculated be me.

You can expect the work to be completed within a week, but this largely depends on what’s involved. If it’s urgent or something you cannot be without for long, I’ll work around that.

Yes, I have experience in reupholstering the seating in public houses, restaurants and hotels. From individual pieces to full refurbishment.

I certainly do work in leather and can supply different finishes and colours. See my online business manufacturing leather headboards, ottomans and bespoke cushions.

Unfortunately I do not replace the inners in old cushions with new foam, feather or fibre fillings if that’s all you require.

I only undertake this as part of full reupholstery to a chair or sofa, etc.

I don’t take on repair only work.

If it’s part of a full reupholstery job, then yes, I can make repairs like broken springs to repairing wooden frames, generally everything under the fabric.

Tidying up knocks and scratches to polished wooden parts of furniture is done with stains and waxes.

I do not make loose covers at this time.

Generally no, but depending on the project a deposit may be required. The balance will be required upon competition when your furniture is either collected or delivered and you are entirely satisfied of course.

Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer.
